Competition
The Competition Special Interest Group brings together lawyers from member firms to discuss developments in competition/antitrust law across Europe. It is an opportunity for participants to share what is happening in their jurisdictions and hear about developments in other countries.
The Group holds informal round table discussions at which everyone has a chance to participate in the discussion. Topics at past meetings have included developments in foreign direct investment screening, developments in EU and national merger control and the impact of the ECN+ Directive at national level.
Guest speakers have included Eddy De Smijter, Head of the International Relations Unit at DG Competition, who spoke about the European Commission’s Foreign Subsidies Regulation. It is a great way to meet and hear from leading practitioners in their jurisdictions on recent developments across Europe.
