Practice areas: Environment & renewables
AEL lawyers have set up a ‘Special Interest Group’ (SIG) for this practice area, called “Insolvency and Restructuring” which focuses mainly on the renewable segment of the energy market. This includes (but certainly not limited to) construction and projects, sustainability on contracts, code for sustainable homes, provisions in real estate contracts and energy projects including solar, wind, hydroelectric, biofuels, waste to energy (w2e) and district heating. As technology plays an important part in renewable energy projects, we expect the group also to have a certain focus on technology. The SIG’s ambition is to build a strong network of keenly interested lawyers across Europe that will be able to share competence, market knowledge and business opportunities with each other.
The SIG will meet once a year and will have regular conference calls throughout the year.
The convenor for this SIG is Alistair McKie from Anderson Strathern.
