Exploring AI and Innovation in Law Firms

Fenech & Fenech hosted the AGM 2024 in Malta, which focused on the theme of ‘Exploring AI and Innovation in Law Firms.’

The first day of the AEL AGM began with a private guided tour of St. John’s Cathedral in Valletta, a magnificent 16th-century Baroque masterpiece built by the Knights of Malta.

This was followed by welcome drinks at Fenech & Fenech, where members had the opportunity to meet and to network. The evening concluded with a welcome dinner at Gracy’s restaurant in Valletta.

The AEL Annual General Meeting (AGM) took place at The Malta Chamber of Commerce in Valletta on the second day of the event.

Nicolai Vella Falzon, Managing Partner of Fenech & Fenech welcomed delegates and Risto Vahimets, Secretary General of AEL, opened the AGM and introduced its agenda. This conference that customarily follows the AGM followed with a focus on AI and Innovation in Law Firms, exploring the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on legal practices and addressing the challenges that lie ahead.

The day concluded with an exquisite Gala Dinner at Palazzo Parisio in Naxxar.

The social agenda of the AGM on the third day of the event started with a visit to the South of Malta, where participants explored the prehistoric megalithic temple of ĦaÄ¡ar Qim, one of Malta’s most significant Neolithic sites dating back to around 3600-3200 BC, followed by lunch at the picturesque fishing village of Marsaxlokk.

To conclude, the members attended dinner under the stars at Port 21 Yacht Club restaurant in Ta’ Xbiex, offering views of the marina and the majestic fortifications of Valletta, to put an exquisite end to the Event.
