Risto Vahimets

Risto Vahimets is the Secretary General at the AEL, as well as the leader of M&A / Corporate Special Interest Group.

Risto is a partner at Ellex law firm in Estonia. He is considered one of Estonia’s most experienced and renowned M&A practitioners, focusing mainly on M&A and strategic advisory, as well as on restructuring and distressed advisory. He also has an excellent understanding of finance and company valuation.

Risto has worked in the Baltic M&A scene for over 20 years. Historically, he has served (including as chairman) on the boards of various companies, from the financial sector to wholesale and medicine. Today, he is occupied with strategic advisory roles, serving on the supervisory or strategy boards of several key clients.
