Daniel Buttigieg
Daniel is a Partner at Fenech & Fenech Advocates, mainly specialising in real estate and property law, succession and general civil litigation.
Daniel joined the Local Litigation team at Fenech & Fenech Advocates as a trainee student in 2009 and has formed part of the firm ever since, mainly dealing with dispute resolution and litigation and this by representing both local and foreign clients in front of the various Maltese Courts, Arbitration and specialised Boards and Tribunals.
His main focus is Real Estate law which incorporates all aspects of property law, be it transactional, advisory or litigation work, including briefs concerning sale, lease, damages, contracts of work, real and personal rights, emphyteusis, and servitudes amongst others. Daniel also represents clients in front of the planning authority board and the Environmental and Review Tribunal and has also successfully been involved in a number of constitutional cases involving a breach of his client’s fundamental rights, particularly those involving a breach of one’s right to free enjoyment of property and one’s right to a fair hearing.
Daniel also handles briefs on general civil and commercial matters, debt collection, succession and administrative review.
In 2019 Daniel was also appointed as the Chairman of the Board to adjudicate charges relating to bribery and illegal betting in football by the Malta Football Association, a post he still holds.
