Evita Vainanidi

Evita is a Partner at Vainanidis Economou & Associates Law Firm and the Head of the Firm’s Global Data & Privacy Practice. She advises domestic and multinational businesses on all aspects of Greek privacy and data protection law, as well as AI and cybersecurity. Evita works with clients across a diverse range of industry sectors, including online services, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, consumer goods and retail, technology, automotive, and sports. With profound knowledge of the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), she is a frequent speaker at numerous conferences and workshops on related topics. In addition, Evita serves as a Data Protection Officer (DPO) for domestic companies and is entrusted with the training of personnel on privacy awareness.

Evita is also actively involved in Commercial and Company Law, Trademarks, Debt Collection, Domain Name, Internet Law and Real Estate cases. She has significant experience in Competition Law, including filing notifications with the Hellenic Competition Committee for major mergers and acquisitions.

Evita has contributed as a national correspondent to the publication of Electronic Signatures in Law by Stephen Mason, LexisNexis Butterworths, as well as European Competition Laws: A Guide to the EC and its Member States, LexisNexis.

She holds a Law degree (LL.B.) from the University of Athens, Faculty of Laws, and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Commercial and Corporate Law from the University of London, where she specialized in European Competition Law, European Internal Market, Telecommunications and Internet Law.
