Robert Birchall

Robert advises on a wide range of taxation issues for clients ranging from public companies to start-ups, operating in the UK and internationally, as well as wealthy individuals and entrepreneurs.

Robert has particular experience in relation to corporate tax, including company acquisitions and disposals, reconstructions, private equity and venture capital investment, employment tax and employee incentives, including EMI, other tax advantaged and non-tax advantaged schemes.

Robert has spoken at industry conferences organised by the International Bar Association (IBA) and American Bar Association, and previously served as the UK National Reporter for the IBA’s Taxes Committee.

Robert is a member of the Share Plan Lawyers group and, as a tax practitioner, leads the team ranked as a “Firm to Watch” for Employee Share Schemes in the Legal 500.

Robert is admitted to practise in England and Wales.
