Dear All,
Wishing you a very Happy and Prosperous New Year.
Further to our conference call on 30th November 2010, copies of the minutes of the call, draft business plan for our SIG and, as promised, copies of the business plans for Corporate and Employment have been circulated for your information.
The minutes of our last call have been uploaded to the Commercial Property SIG document area on AELonline. If you have not been able to log on to AELonline yet and you require a user account, please let Su Rawlinson know (su.rawlinson@europeanlawyers.org) and she will create an account for you and confirm your log in details. As mentioned on the call, it is important for us all to complete our personal profiles on AELonline so that other lawyers in the network seeking our expertise will be able to find the information they require. This also assists us if we have to provide information on our joint expertise to clients for multi-jurisdictional work by running a “create a tender” report in the business development area of AELonline. If you require more information on how to do this, please ask Su.
Since we last spoke, I have spoken with the Executive Committee and the Corporate SIG Convenor and I’m pleased to inform you that the topic of the training seminar will be a combined topic to cover both corporate and commercial property law. I hope as many of you as possible can attend and there will also be opportunities for some of you to speak, if you wish. By way of reminder, the training seminar is on Friday 20th May (from the evening of Thursday 19th May to Sunday 22nd May 2011) and the venue is Athens, Greece, kindly hosted by our Greek member firm, Panagopolous Vainanidis Schina Economou. More information and registration forms will be sent later in the year and if you do wish to speak or have any ideas you would like to put forward for a topic, please let me know.
I would like to schedule our next conference call to finalise the draft business plan adding any action points you have to the plan and to discuss the training seminar in more detail next month and propose a call be held on Tuesday 27th January at 10am GMT, 11am
Dial in details for your diary for this call are below and available in the events section of our SIG area in AELonline. Please would you register your intention to join the call (or your apologies) via AELonline or inform Su by email.
