Practice areas

The Association of European Lawyers is a network of 40 independent law firms cooperating to provide expert advice to clients from all economic sectors and industries. Links to the individual practice areas can be found on the left hand side of this page.

Our members all have extensive knowledge of their local jurisdictions, keeping constantly up to date through frequent networking, collaboration and information exchanges with other member legal practices. Members often collaborate on multijurisdictional matters for mutual clients. This provides members with the understanding and essential knowledge to identify emerging issues in other countries and to keep their clients one step ahead of current trends and changes that can affect their respective markets.

  • Special interest groups

To further enhance their expertise and knowledge, a key feature for members are the “Special Interest Groups”, strategic units specializing in specific areas of practice. The focus is on developments in specific market segments, keeping members up to date and ahead of the field in their chosen area. Lawyers come together at meetings, seminars and training courses to provide the best service to their clients. The Special Interest Groups currently supported are:

    • Commercial dispute resolution
    • Competition
    • M&A/Corporate
    • Tax
    • Employment
    • Energy & Renewables
    • Intellectual Property/IT
