Technology, media, telecoms & sport

Telecommunications, technology and media are now at the heart of every organisation. AEL lawyers have in-depth knowledge and experience of the sector and work closely with clients to understand the rapidly evolving products and services. It is by being on the forefront of regulatory and legal developments that AEL lawyers can provide clients with practical, industry-focused advice. This includes advising on, drafting and negotiating technology contracts, advice on e-commerce and interpretation of regulatory frameworks. AEL lawyers can also support clients in dealing with regulators and public appeals.

Technology, media and telecommunications clients range from start-ups to well established international companies, while sports clients including governing bodies, clubs, players and sponsors.

The structure and regulation within the sports sector is extensive and complex. Sports law advice covers diverse areas such as taxation, employment, and intellectual property issues. Work includes the drafting and negotiation of contracts such as player contracts or sponsorship agreements and representation and advice to enforce these agreements.
